This visit we renewed our wedding vows, 50 years later

The 2-week stay we had at “Old Style” right on Hanalei Bay was fantastic! Nothing – (ala Roger Miller – no food, no phone, no pets, no cigarettes . . . 😂) — no condos, duplexes, structures whatsoever, just a short saunter across a beautifully landscaped lawn with two palm trees between us and Hanalei Bay the prettiest beach on Kaua’i – bar none! Our little green home with the cute lanai, small barbecue, table and chairs. History reveals the one bedroom home was a church parsonage years past. The property was very clean and neat for my wife and I who returned to Kaua’i for our 4th trip together, the first, our honeymoon in November 1972. This visit we renewed our wedding vows, 50 years later, to the date; at Christ Memorial Episcopal Church in Kilauea, our home Zoom church. A beautiful little church constructed of lava right off the Kuhio Hwy on the road to the Lighthouse.”
