Great house, decent location, horrible internet

The good: House has great amenities, including a clean, updated kitchen, common spaces, and beach gear. Princeville is very pretty and surrounding area is nice, but as a whole is a bit far from most activities on island (Poipu, Waimea, Lihue), meaning most days we had to drive an hour+ each way to get to various activities. The bad: the internet was HORRIBLE. Essentially unusable. We had to call Spectrum multiple times spending over an hour, where they walked through resetting the modem and router to no avail. It maxed out at 5-10mbps for the first 5 min after resetting and then was 0 mbps thereafter (wifi plan was apparently 400 mbps). We had to go buy an Ethernet connector and use our own computer to wifi share. Even then the wifi cut out at least once an hour. Impossible to work from this place. Luckily we only tried to for a day. The ugly: The property manager seems to be ignoring the fact that there is a wifi problem. This could easily be solved by buying a new router ($50-$100 one time investment) but instead they just say “call spectrum – they’ll fix it”. This is a lie. Spectrum says the router is an issue because the router is very outdated (doesn’t even have 2.4/5 ghz split which is standard for all routers nowadays). The property manager knows people have to deal with wifi issues all the time because she puts the account name and number in the guest book so guests can reference it when calling! Spending hours on the phone with the wifi company and resetting the router all the time really soured the experience. Hope this finally gets them to make the change.
