A real home in Hanalei

A real home in Hanalei
It’s not the Ritz. That’s not the point. But we were a month in Kaua and this is the only time where I felt like I was staying in the home . Made me feel little bit more a part of the community and connected to Hanalei. It’s a one block walk to the beach . When it’s smaller out there it’s a good beginning break. I took to driving my daughter a lot to the pier , which is only about five minutes away. Google said it was a 25 minute walk to downtown but it really took about 10 . The house is clean and these were the first and only sharp kitchen knives that we found during our trip. Which is to say that whomever put the kitchen together did so for people to actually cook in there. There’s a lot of reviews that tells you that it gets hot in the late afternoon. It gets hot in the late afternoon. Open up all the windows and blow the fans or just spend time at the beach or outside. I didn’t think it was that big of a deal. You do hear the noise from the road, but there are so few cars driving after 8 o’clock but it really doesn’t matter. The property manager was lovely and responsive. I’d stay here again. Again, if you’re looking for golf courses and pampered luxury this is not for you. If you’re looking for proximity, convenience , and a slice of old Kauai at a great value this is a good stay.
